Dear Domino’s:

I recently received some of your coupons in the mail. Thank you! However, I am not going to use the “Choose Your Chicken” coupon. Therefore I have elected to redeem the full cash value of 1/20˘. Please send the check to the above address. Enclosed you will find the coupon I wish to redeem for said amount. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson

Dear Domino’s Pizza,

In March 2005 I wrote you a letter asking you to reimburse me for the cash value of the coupon I enclosed in the envelope (1/20˘). I was not going to use this coupon, so I thought it would be in my best interest to receive cash for it.

How could I have been so ignorant? Did I expect you to cut a penny into twenty pieces? Or to invent a new currency equal to 1/20˘? Most certainly not. I was not thinking rationally.

That is why I am sending you TWENTY coupons (which you will find enclosed). These twenty coupons will together equal one cent, which you will have no problem issuing to me. Please make the check out to Kevin Dickinson, or enclose a penny if you wish.

Thank you and good day.

Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson

Finally! A response to this letter. Domino's doesn't know it, but as soon as I collect the necessary coupons, another letter is headed their way.
