Dear Shaw’s Supermarket:
If I eat produce before I go to the register, is this O.K.? Is it free? I think it should be. I was wondering if it is, because if this is the case I will be gorging myself with fruit in your store. I have come up with a new slogan for you, even! “Pop a Grape Before It’s Too Late.” Or you could use “We Don’t Care if You Eat a Pear.” Or even “To Keep What’s In Your Wallet, Eat a [some kind of fruit that rhymes with wallet].” Please let me know about this whole free fruit thing. Father Hernando tried it at the local grocery store and said they didn’t have a problem with it, but I just want to make sure.
