Dear Bowling
Alley:
I was
recently at your bowling alley. I love it! Bowling, I mean. Plus your alley was
kinda nice. I was there for over three hours straight, rolling the ball down
that slippery lane o’ yours. It was lane #3, I believe.
I am writing
this letter to you in order to register a complaint. You probably know, since
you work in a bowling alley, that rolling the ball slightly off-center usually
produces a strike. You’d think that doing this over 53 times would yield a
strike once in a while. However, the corner pin NEVER fell. During the entire
three hours. Actually one time it fell but it got back up again.
What is the
cause of this? I think I know, but I want to verify it. I think I saw a small
Chinese man holding the end of a string. He was hiding in that part where the
ball goes after it hits the pins. I saw him pop up once. When that last corner
pin fell, that one time, he pulled his string and it went back up! I believe
this string was attached to the bottom of the pin and ran through the floor.
This prevented me from scoring a very high score. I like high scores. I like
bowling. However; this experience was phenomenally strange.
Please let me know why
you employ this man. I believe he was German.
Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson |
