Dear Cameron University:

My name is Kevin Dickinson, and I am a professor of Shakespearean Geography. What is this, you might ask? Well, I like to “spice things up” and bring something new to the community. Instead of taking English AND Geography, students can take my course and learn twice as much in half the time! Shakespearean Geography is actually an ancient science dating back to, well, Shakespeare. The reason I am writing this letter to you is to inform you of my decision to teach at your college. If you have an opening, I’d love an interview, as your school resides in my home state.

The entire course (1 full semester) is spoken in iambic pentameter. The students will especially enjoy the “Fjord Lecture.” Here’s how it goes!

Whatst the hell art thou, you weirdo fjord

With your Norwegian name you make me bored

I want to strangle myself with a cord

And die because of you, you frickin’ fjord

There was a man who went into Peru

And had to stop right then to tie his shoe

He heard about a fjord and had to puke

So please schedule an interview for me if you have any positions open. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Prof. Kevin Dickinson
