Dear Classic Cake Company,

I have a very unique request. You see, my friend’s uncle Grover has a birthday coming up. Specifically, his 100th birthday. And guess what else? He was born a hundred years ago! That’s like 1836. Wow!

Grover has thus far led a very productive life. Bagging groceries until he was 42, he went on to become Director of Agricultural Security for the Canadian government. At 42 ½ he decided it was time to move on, and he took up a career in golf turf management. And boy, did he manage some golf turf. Then when he turned 89 he became a pro baseball player. He retired five years ago and has ever since been bored and lonely. He was married once. His claim to fame was a beautiful dame with no name. But sadly, on the Wednesday following their wedding day, she died of an ingrown toenail.

Anyway, I was wondering if I could be there in the kitchen when you bake the cake. Specifically, I would like you to bake me into the cake so I can pop out and scare the living &@*$ out of him. That might cheer him up!

Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson

Chocolate please.
