Dear Western Exterminators,

The other day a spider was crawling across my room. I wanted to kill it but it ran under my dresser. After 1 hour of blasting it with an air horn it finally came out and ran under my bed. I prodded it out from under there with the wooden spoon from my kitchen. It proceeded to hide under my nightstand. At this point I was ready to charge the spider rent, but then I remembered I couldn’t collect its money if I was going to kill it in five minutes. Plus spiders don’t have money. Finally, I vacuumed it up, then I put the vacuum on reverse while the hose was in the toilet, and I flushed it along with some lint and 13 cents. It was all there in the vacuum.

What can I do to keep spiders out of my room? Obviously a “NO SPIDERS” sign on my door won’t work since spiders don’t come through the door. And I’m not going to catch them and let them go outside, because that will just mean that a couple days later 800 spider babies in mini diapers with 4 leg holes will come crawling into my room to bother me. What do these spiders want from me anyway? It can’t be my money, because spiders don’t spend money. Otherwise I would charge them rent. And then kill them.

Please let me know what preventative measures I should take to keep spiders out of my room. One time an earthworm got in here too. But I shooed it away.

Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson
