Dear Walt Disney Corporation,
I visited your four Walt Disney World parks on January 7, 8,
and 9, 2007. I had a phenomenal time and will most definitely return in
the future. However, I wish to point out a pricing discrepancy I
encountered in Mouse Gear (store #6546). I visited this store on
Sunday, January 7, 2007
to purchase some candy. As hungry as I was, I was not ready to pay a
whopping $11.92/lb. for even the most savory morsels of sugar. Thus I
endeavored to purchase 1 (one) single jelly bean, hoping to subdue my
sweet tooth without breaking the bank. I picked out a rather
scrumptious-looking blueberry jelly bean and brought it to the counter.
The cashier, Mercedes, was very friendly and courteous to me as I
purchased my one Jelly Belly.
Now I am back at home in
New Jersey, ready to eat my
delicious blueberry jelly bean, but before I do so I must see that a
certain matter is resolved. I paid a full 12 cents for this treat (13
cents with tax), but to my dismay this is not the correct price. I
weighed this piece of candy on a scale and it registered at 0.0049 lb.
At $11.92/lb., this jelly bean should have cost roughly 6 cents.
Therefore, I believe I may have been overcharged by 6 cents, or
200%, on this one jelly
bean. By law, you are obligated to charge the advertised price for all
saleable items, so therefore you must refund 6 cents to me. I will not
hesitate to contact my lawyer, so let us please keep this matter simple.
You may send me a check for the previously discussed amount, or you may
enclose six (6) cents in an envelope and send it to me.
Thank you for your time, and I await my refund.
Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson |
