Dear Marcal,

After trying your toilet paper products, I am attempting to comprehend the single-mindedness you apparently display in the manufacturing process. It seems to me that your research department failed to collect sufficient consumer data, and therefore is unaware of the common preference for multi-directional unfurling. For consistency’s sake, I have used five different rolls of your toilet paper, but all of them loaded only from the back. Perhaps an illustration can serve to clarify my argument:

Figure 1 depicts my ideal roll of toilet paper, which disperses its sheets from the front, which is only natural as it is closest to the commode.

Figure 2 depicts a typical roll of Marcal toilet paper, which only loads onto its holder such that it dispenses from the back, so that the average user expends more energy over a greater distance in obtaining the necessary number of sheets.

Now that I believe I have described my argument with the maximum possible detail, there should be no discrepancies in your plan to reverse the manufacturing process to provide consumers with a dual selection of toilet paper including, but not limited to, front-loading and back-loading products, which should be clearly marked as thus on the respective packaging. Thank you for your time, and in the meanwhile I will have you know I shall be using an alternate brand.

Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson
