Dear Value Pet & Tropical Fish Center,

I am a master sushi chef at Watashi wa Jouzu-ni Nihongo ga Hanase Masen Restaurant. We don’t fool around at this restaurant. “Our sushi is a serious matter,” we say.

It is with great regret and misfortune that I see my own restaurant crumble before my eyes. The remains of what was once a popular hangout for sushi-lovers and sushi-strongly-likers alike is losing its appeal to the local market. Why? Because the manager of Nihongo wa Watashi ni Muzukashii-desu Restaurant is recruiting my customers. “Eigo-de itte-kudasai,” he tells them. Our sushi come with free car wash.

I am in dire need of new recipes. So, my friends, I turn to you: which fish, particularly those that I can easily purchase from your store, produce the highest “yum” factor when prepared as sushi? Better yet, please inform me of any sushi recipes you may have lying around.

Please, I am begging for your assistance. Watashi wa Jouzu-ni Nihongo ga Hanase Masen Restaurant will return to fame! The seaweed you sell as props for fish tanks—is it edible? Do you sell rice at your store?

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, and as always, “Konnichiwa sayounara sumo Nagasaki.” May your troubles be paired with rice and enjoyed as a delicious side-dish.

Sincerely,

Kevin Dickinson

Master Sushi Chef
